How do you change your first name legally?

I live in Florida. I'm 16 and my mom said that I can. How much will it cost? Where do I go to do it? And how long does it take until it's changed?

How do you change your first name legally?
Your parents need to fill out several forms, get your fingerprints taken, and submit everything to the circuit court in your county. You can see the forms at the site below. You need the minor (as opposed to adult) name change forms. If your parents do not both fill out the request, the other needs to fill out the consent form. There may be fees, but they will depend on the county you live in. Contact your circuit court to find out about this.
Reply:You fill out some paperwork, file it with the court and have a judge grant it.

And you have to post it either in the local newspaper or the courthouse for a specific amount of time.
Reply:You do it the same way you change your last name. You'll need your mom to file the petition in court on your behalf. Should take about 60-90 days (there has to be a publication to give notice). Once the Court enters the order, your name is changed. Hope you don't have passports or a lot of other ID that needs to be changed.
