Can I cash in a cheque with my middle name rather than first name?

My friend wrote a cheque addressed to my name but wrote my middle name instead of my first name. Will the bank still cash in the cheque?

Reply:Sure, Just show your ID. You could deposit it into your checking account. You can also have your friend cross out the middle name and re write your first name and then have them initial the change.
