How do I display just my first name on Facebook?

I want to have a Facebook account, but I was wondering if there was a way to display just my first name. I really, really don't want to have my full name on the Internet, because it seems like a stupid idea to put information like that out there where everyone can see it. I can keep all my other personal info private, but not my last name. Little help?

The new system does not allow you to signup/change your name to an initial (ie. it cannot say Tim V., it must say the full first and last name).





The facebook terms state that you must have a full name. Unfortunately you cannot hide your last name, even with your privacy settings set to the max.





My suggestion is to use either a fake name, or your middle name (or something similar).
Reply:I don't think you can. The only thing you can do is put your first name and then your last name's first initial. For example: Tracy T.
Reply:You can't but you can put your first name and a initial. Or just do what I have may first name and my second name in english.
