What's a boy name that means strength and bravery and goes with John being the first name?

The father wants to name him John Brandon, but I looked up Brandon and it means something crazy like a hilltop or something. Can anyone help?

I like John Brian, and it almost sounds like John Brandon.

You're right, Brandon means "broom-covered hill." It was originally a surname, so it was "people from the broom-covered hill." http://wiki.name.com/en/Brandon
