When I asked my sister, she just laughed and said she had no idea. I have a nickname which is only 4 letters long, but I don't know if I can use it.
On the Fafsa, the first name section only has room for 12 letters while mine is 14. What do I do?
get a shorter name
Reply:Don't use your nickname. You have to use the name written on your birth certificate. If you name doesn't fit in the spaces provided, put as much as you can.
Reply:Just put in all that you can. They will have your SS# and last name as well so they will be able to process it.
Reply:just call customer service they tell you what to do
