What players do you know by hearing just their first name?

This topic came up on a baseball blog -- what players, upon hearing only their first name, do you know exactly whom is meant?





Can be the player's given name or a diminutive. NO NICKNAMES! "Babe" or "Yogi" don't count here. "Mickey" does.





I already have about ten in mind (and already gave "Mickey") but go ahead and see which ones you come up with.

What players do you know by hearing just their first name?
I guess this comes down the difference between , 'who best do you identify with these first names' or 'which name is sufficient that it can only be that one player if only one name is mentioned'





I think you mean the latter of course.
